Donkey Kong Bananza on Eglantine
Purple screen, then build 205
Searchers still type the purple screen. Release notes for build 205 say that screen, the freezes, and the rubber-banding were addressed for this game. The cause written there: some tensor-core shaders that are not DLSS were only being emulated for DLSS, so the image they should have produced was never written. Photo Mode or d-pad down cleared the color on some earlier builds. Builds 202 and 204 still have purple-screen and stutter reports, so “204” is not the fix. If a video shows a solid purple image, check the build number before you copy its settings.
Which Forks has 25 reports. Twenty-one include a number. The median is 25 FPS and the median of the maximums is 30. The mix is 10 NVIDIA, 9 AMD, 1 Steam Deck and 5 unlabeled. Selevet performance build 3 is described as a 30 FPS cap with motion that still feels like 60 Hz. One RTX 5090 report stays under 20 FPS underground. A Deck note is 10–15 FPS. I will not call 30 a guarantee.
Stuck on Launching, and speed that follows FPS
Issue 76 is the Launching screen that never ends, with CA01 inside MemoryHeapManager::SetHeapSize, on Windows 11 with an RTX 5090 in one report. The project’s earlier Pokopia notes use the same heap idea: the emulator incorrectly rejected SetHeapSize requests of 8 GiB or more; Pokopia asks for 9.5 GiB. Build 74 fixes that emulated-memory limit, which is not a physical RAM requirement. Missing terrain on AMD with OpenGL is a separate report. Build 212 has a crash during the first cutscene when GPU accuracy is set to Fast. Early builds leaked memory; later notes say that was reduced, without a single build I can stamp as “leak gone.”
Game speed follows the frame rate in these reports, which is why a 30 FPS cap is the setting people repeat, at 0.5x to 1x resolution. Fast is described around 40–50 FPS and accurate around 30. EDEN_NX2_RESETFIX is on by default for terrain and indirect drawing. PokeDinner 2.5.0 is the other fork named for this title when someone wants that 30 FPS option. Selevet’s builds are Windows x86_64 only.

Questions
Is the purple screen still the current bug?
Build 205’s notes say it was fixed there. Reports from 202 and 204 still describe it. A build older than 205 can still show it.
Which fork is faster?
Selevet’s performance builds are the frame-rate fork named for this game. PokeDinner 2.5.0 is named for the 30 FPS option. Mainline build 205 or newer is the purple-screen line. I do not have one PC that ran all three.
