A fork is another whole emulator
Which Forks describes these projects as full copies, not plugins you drop into the main build. Its test for a fork worth trusting is practical: does it name an upstream, does it publish real release notes, is the history public, does it avoid bundling keys or games, and is it still updated. I use that test, and I only link a repository when this guide has a confirmed address.
Mainline remains Djihads80/Eglantine, with build-212 as the newest numbered build and branch-nx2-experimental-efb9fb18 as the newest experimental test snapshot with files on 2026-11-07. PokeDinner 2.7.7 is Windows-only in that version and warns AMD users off. Selevet’s published assets are Windows x86_64; the community comparison lists Windows/Linux, a platform discrepancy kept separate from those assets. Banana Native is an Android port of games, not an Eglantine package, and it is in the table so the “no official Android build” sentence has somewhere to point.
