Eglantine vs Eden
Same family, different job
Eglantine’s readme says it is derived from Eden, Yuzu and Sudachi, started by Camille LaVey. The user handbook is still Eden’s text with the program name changed, which is why so many menus say “Open Eden Folder.” The data directory change is the practical split: new builds look for a folder named eglantine and still recognize eden. daily-20261106’s notes mention that rename and a migration prompt.
Eglantine’s public list on 2026-11-07 is a stream of prerelease Switch 2 builds, including build-212 and the newer branch-nx2-experimental-efb9fb18. Eden is the upstream project with its own site at eden-emu.dev and its own cadence. I do not copy Eden’s version number onto an Eglantine tag. If you need Switch 2 games and the newest desktop fixes, you are in Eglantine’s release list. If you want the upstream project without those Switch 2 experiments, you want Eden’s own downloads, from Eden, not from a page that reused the logo.
Both are unsigned desktop builds. Keys, firmware and games still have to come from a console you own. Neither project’s readme lists this website.

Questions
Can I use my Eden folder?
Eglantine recognizes the older eden directory and can offer to migrate. New files are aimed at eglantine. See the settings page for both paths.
Is eden-emu.dev the Eglantine site?
No. That is Eden. Eglantine’s readme lists GitHub releases and Discord, not a project website.

Links from the same publisher count as one source; a community compilation counts as one source even when it contains many reports.
